Avila gehoert durch seine 2500 Meter lange, komplett erhaltene romanische Stadtmauer aus dem 11. - 14. Jahrhundert zu dem Weltkulturerbe der UNESCO.
Avila is part of the World Heritage Sites by the UNESCO, due to the 2500 meter long, completely maintained Roman town wall from the 11th - 14th century.
