Jedes Familienmitglied hat Enrique gegenueber eine Aufgabe zu erfuellen.

Each member of the family has to fulfill a different task with Enrique.

Waehrend Mutti fuer's Kuscheln zustaendig ist,

While Mom is responsible for cuddeling,

macht Enrique mit Papa allerhand Bloedsinn.

Papa is showing him all kind of nonsense.

Kira hingegen muss fuer einiges herhalten, denn: "Wer sich liebt, der neckt sich!".

Kira on the other hand has to endure a lot, as a german saying goes: "People who love each other, tease each other!".

Verabschiedung - Saying goodbye

Enrique laesst seinen Papa am Morgen nicht ohne die ueblichen Verabschiedungsrituale gehen. Neben dem ueblichen Kuss, ...

In the mornings Enrique does not let his Dad go without the usual Goodbye-rituals. Beside the typical kiss, ...

... laesst es sich Enrique nicht nehmen, gemeinsam mit Mama und Kira, Papa beim Wegfahren zu beobachten. Sollte Papa einmal vergessen zu winken oder aus dem Fenster seines Autos zu schauen, dann ist Enrique fuer den Rest des Tages "unausstehlich".

... together with Mom and Kira, Enrique does not let the chance pass of watching Daddy drive away. But should Daddy forget to wave or to look out of the car window, Enrique will be very upset for the rest of the day.

Enrique isst allein - Enrique eats by himself

Voller Konzentration fuehrt Enrique am 01.04.08 den Loeffel erstmals selbststaendig zum Mund. Jedoch benoetigt er nach wie vor eine helfende Hand zum Verzehr einer kompletten Mahlzeit..

With a lot of concentration, Enrique guides the spoon to his mouth for the first time by himself on the 1st of April'08. He still needs help to consume a complete meal.

Ab dem 08.07.08 kann er zwar allein essen, allerdings muessen anschliessend Enrique, der Tisch und der Fussboden gereinigt werden.

Since the 8th of July'08 he is able to eat without help, but afterwards, Enrique, the table and the floor have to be cleaned.

Deshalb heisst es jetzt ueben, ueben, ueben und das zeichnet sich irgendwann aus (02.08.08).

Now he has to practice this over and over again... after a while the result is visible (2nd of August'08).

Tueren oeffnen - Opening doors

Es ist immer wieder faszinierend mit welchen Dingen kleine Kinder begeistert werden koennen. Enrique ist jetzt gross genug, um die Tuerklinken zu erreichen und das bringt neuen Spass, birgt aber auch neue Gefahren.

It is fascinating to see which things can "wow" children. Enrique is now tall enough to reach the doorhandles and that brings new excitement but contains danger at the same time.
