Nur 2 Wochen sind seit dem letzten Besuch vergangen und schon befinden sich die naechsten Gaeste auf dem Weg zu uns nach Costa Rica.

Es sind Enrique's Patentante Susann und ihr Freund Matthias aus London.

Enrique's godmother Susann and her boyfriend Matthias from London are coming.

Vor ihrem Eintreffen hilft Enrique seiner Mama beim Putzen.

Before their arrival, Enrique helps his Mom clean the appartment.

Waehrend des Aufenthalts vom 23.08. zum 05.09. erlebt Enrique viele bekannte Sachen auf neue Art und Weise, wie zum Beispiel den Strand, der nicht nur zum Sandburgbauen geeignet ist, sondern auch Moeglichkeiten fuer sportliche Betaetigungen bietet.

During their visit between the 23rd of August and the 5th of September, Enrique experiences many already known things in a different way. The beach, for example, cannot only be used for building sand castles, but also gives you the possibility to do sport activities.

Der Ausflug nach Liberia laesst Enrique's Kinderaugen glaenzen, denn es wird einem nicht taeglich die Moeglichkeit geboten, bestimmten Fahrzeugen so nah zu kommen.

The trip to Liberia makes Enrique's eyes spark, when he discovers vehicles that he only knows from books.

Ein Tag wird auch Kira gewidmet.

Kochtag in Noah's Arc - Cooking Day at Noah's Arc

Um die Eltern aktiv am Kindergartenalltag teilnehmen zu lassen, hat Noah's Arc den Kochtag ins Leben gerufen. Jeden Mittwoch haben die Muttis und Vatis die Moeglichkeit mit den Kindern etwas zu kochen. Fuer heute hat sich Enrique's Mama angemeldet und auf dem Plan stehen:

In order to involve parents more into the kindergarten activities, Noah's Arc has created a cooking day. Every Wednesday, Moms and Dads are welcome to prepare something with the children. Today it was the turn of Enrique's Mom and this was on the menu:

Waffeln - Waffles

Aus gutem Grund hat sie sich dafuer entschieden, denn bei diesem Vorhaben koennen alle mithelfen. Justin kuemmert sich um die Butter, Melania laesst den Vanillezucker einrieseln, ...

For one good reason this recipe was chosen. All children could be involved in preparing this meal. Justin was responsible for the butter, Melania drizzled the vanilla sugar on top, ...

... Juliana schuettet mit Hilfe von Lehrerin Enlly die Milch hinein und Enrique rundet das Ganze mit Mehl ab. Fuer die restlichen Zutaten, wie Salz, Eier und Backpulver sorgt Mama.

... Juliana poured (with help of teacher Enlly) the milk into the bowl and Enrique added the flour. Mama was responsible for the missing ingredients, like salt, eggs and baking powder.











Nun schauen alle gespannt beim Mixen und beim Einfuellen des Waffelteigs zu.

Afterwards, everybody was watching all the ingredients being mixed together.













Und dann heisst es: abwarten.

Nach 5 Minuten ist es endlich soweit. Die ersten Waffeln koennen mit Marmelade oder Apfelmus bestrichen und ...
