Flughafenausflug - Airport Field Trip

Am 26. April verbrachten die Kindergartenkinder der Greenlife Academy einen sehr aufregenden Tag auf dem Flughafen Liberia.

 

On the 26th of April, the kindergarten kids of Greenlife Academy spent an exciting day at the airport in Liberia.

 

 

Bei einer kurzen Einfuehrung durch die ansaessige Feuerwehr wurden Fragen gestellt und beantwortet sowie das Wissen der Kinder getestet.

 

Within a short introduction by firemen where the knowledge of the kids was tested, the children also received the possibility of asking questions.

 

 

 

Dann durften die Kinder zuschauen, wie der Erzieherin Kelly, ein echter Feuerschutzanzug angezogen wurde.

 

Then, the kids observed teacher Kelly who was dressed up with a protective suit for fireman.

 

Anschliessend durfte sich jeder einmal selbst wie ein Feuerwehrmann fuehlen. Enrique war sehr ueberrascht, wieviel Kraft er benoetigte, um dem Druck des Wasserstrahls Stand zu halten.

Afterwards, everybody was able to play the role of the fireman by holding the fire hose. Enrique was extremly surprised how much power it required to keep up the water jet.

Und zum Abschluss ging es dann noch in ein gerade angekommenes Flugzeug, wo auch das Cockpit besichtigt und der Pilot begruesst werden konnte.

And last but not least, they were visiting a plane that had just arrived. Even a view into the Cockpit and greeting the pilot was allowed.
