In der Vergangenheit war der 12. Oktober Christopher Columbus, dem Entdecker Amerikas, gewidmet. Heute wird an diesem Tag des Einflusses vieler verschiedener Kulturen (europaeisch, asiatisch, afrikanisch) auf die Entwicklung des Landes Costa Rica gedacht. Passend zu diesem Anlass waren alle Kinder aufgefordert mit Hilfe ihrer Eltern ein Plakat ueber ihre Herkunft zu erstellen sowie ein Nationalgericht zuzubereiten.
In the past, the 12th of October was Christopher Columbus day, who discovered America. Today, on this day, Costa Rica celebrates the different cultures (Europeans, Asians, Africans) who had an influence on the development of the country. Therefore, the children, together with their parents' help, put together a poster representing their country and preparing a typical meal from this area.
