Weihnachtskekse backen - Making Christmas Cookies

Wie schon im letzten Jahr hat Enrique seine Freunde zur Weihnachtszeit nach Hause eingeladen, um mit ihnen gemeinsam leckere Weihnachtskekse zu backen.

The same as last year, Enrique has invited his friends for a christmas cookie baking session to his house.

Justin und Enrique zeigen gleich vollen Einsatz beim Ausrollen des Teiges.

Right from the beginning, Justin and Enrique show their dedication to rolling out the dough.

... helfen alle beim Ausstechen der Plaetzschen.

... all of them start to help cutting the christmas cookies with the help of different shapes.



Waehrend die Plaetzschen im Ofen backen, goennen sich die Kinder eine Spielpause und stellen Enrique's Zimmer auf den Kopf.

While the cookies bake in the oven, the kids take a break and play, meaning that they turn Enrique's room upside down.

Dann geht es an den kreativen Teil der Weihnachtsbaeckerei. Mit Schokoladen- oder Zitronenglasur werden die Kekse ueberzogen und anschliessend mit den verschiedensten Leckereien verziert.

Afterwards, the creative part of the baking session is about to start. First, the cookies get covered with chocolate or lemon icing and then, different candies will be used as toppings.

Enrique konstruiert regelrechte Tuerme auf seine Plaetzschen.

Enrique's motto is: Who can put more stuff on one cookie than me?

Zum Anbeissen lecker sehen die Kekse nach ihrer Vollendung aus, allerdings ...

At the end, the Moms are very proud of the results of their kids.


... heisst es nun die verwuestete Wohnung mit dem klebrigen Fussboden und den Fingertapsen an allen greifbaren Oberflaechen, sowie Enrique's Zimmer wieder auf Vordermann zu bringen. Auf jeden Fall war es das wert.

The day was fun, but the state of the appartment is not. Not only Enrique's room, where all the toys have been removed from the cupboards, looks like a hurricane has gone through, but as well, the kitchen with the sticky floor, due to cookie dough, and the surfaces, due to dirty touches of hands, have to be cleaned. But it was worth it.
