Guenstige Flugtickets, notwendige Weihnachtseinkaeufe und ein verdienter Kurzurlaub fuehrten Familie Fernandez mal wieder nach New York, welches sich mit herbstlichen Farben von seiner besten Seite zeigte.

Reasonable flight ticket prices, necessary Christmas shopping and some well earned vacation days took Family Fernandez during the most colourful time of the year again to New York.

Im Flugzeug hiess es erst einmal "Ausruhen", denn ein vollgepackter Terminkalender wartete auf uns.

Due to a very tight schedule, it was important to get some rest on the airplane.

Auch anderweitig fand Enrique auf dem Weg von San Jose nach New York viele Beschaeftigungsmoeglichkeiten.

Enrique also found other ways to keep himself busy during the flight from San Jose to New York.

Mit ca. 2stuendiger Verspaetung erreichten wir nach einer rasanten Taxifahrt endlich das Hotel. Enrique und sein bester Freund Dylan, dessen Familie auch mit von der Partie war, ...

With a 2 hour delay and after a speedy taxi ride, we finally reached the hotel. First, Enrique and his best friend Dylan, whose family travelled to NY at the same time, ...



... erholten sich bei einem gemeinsamen Bad, bevor ...

... enjoyed a bath.

... sie im Anschluss ausgiebig miteinander spielten.

After jumping into the pj's, they were happy to play together.










Dann wurden noch ein paar Gute-Nacht-Geschichten gelesen bis schliesslich alle erschoepft zu Bett gingen.

Exhausted from the travelling, they read a few Bedtime stories and finally went to bed.


Am naechsten Tag stand die Erkundung von New York auf dem Plan. Auf den Schultern von Papa liess sich das natuerlich am besten ertragen.

The following day, Family Fernandez went for a walk through New York. Enrique, sitting on Daddy's shoulders, had the best time.

Waehrend Enrique das Beduerfnis hatte im Suesswarenladen "Dylans Candy Bar" alles auszuprobieren und nicht durfte, ...

A visit to "Dylans Candy Bar", where Enrique was dying to taste everything, but was not allowed to do so, ...











... konnte Mama ihm in den Spielzeuglaeden "Toys"R"Us" und "F.A.O. Schwartz" freien Lauf lassen, was er stundenlang haette geniessen koennen.

... as well as a stop at "Toys"R"Us" and F.A.O. Schwartz, where Enrique became amazed by the variety of toys, which he could have stared at and touched for hours, were a "Must See" on our to do list.

Auch musikalisch gesehen, kam er nicht zu kurz.

Even music was part of the deal.

Gemeinsam mit Dylan und seiner Mama verbrachten wir einen Vormittag im Manhattener Kindermuseum. Auch dort durfte alles angefasst und ausprobiert werden.

One morning, while Dad went shopping, Enrique and Dylan, together with their Moms spent a few hours at the Manhattan Children Museum. The best part of the day was the missing sentence: "Do not touch this!"
