Mailand - Milan

Danach startete unsere kleine Europareise. Zuerst ging es nach Mailand (Italien). 2 Tage lang erkundeten wir die Stadt Norditaliens zu Fuss. Neben der "Duomo Cattedrale", wo man einbalsamierte Priester aus dem vergangenen Jahrhundert unter den traditionellen Sarggewaendern hervorblitzen sehen konnte, ...

Afterwards, our little European Trip started. Milan (Italy) was our first stop and we explored the city of North Italy for 2 days by foot. Besides the "Duomo Cattedrale" where embalmed priests  from the past century slightly covered by typical coffin garments were shown, ...

 

... wurden wir hautnah Zeugen des Aufeinandertreffens von englischen und italienischen Fussballfans auf dem "Piazza Duomo", deren Clubs am Abend das Achtelfinale der Champions League bestreiten sollten.

... we became witnesses of the meeting of english and italien Soccer fans at the "Piazza Duomo". Their teams were about to play the Round of the last 16 in the Champions League.
 

Ausserdem besuchten wir unzaehlige Kirchen und historische Gebaeude, wie das "Castello Sforzesco", sowie ...

... beruehmte Plaetze, wie z.B. "Piazza Sempione" mit dem Friedensbogen.

Besonders viel Freude hatte Enrique daran, seine Eltern mit Schnee zu bewerfen, den man, nach einem sehr strengen italienischen Winter, noch ueberall finden konnte.

Enrique especially enjoyed to throw snowballs at his parents. After a freezing winter, the snow could still be found everywhere.

Fuer Staerkung zwischendurch sorgten typisch italienische Snacks, wie Paninis oder Pizza. Ausserdem entdeckten wir ein Cafe namens "Cioccolati Italiani", wo die Schokolade direkt aus dem Wasserhahn serviert wurde und unglaublich lecker schmeckte.

Furthermore, every once in a while, we took a break at typical italian snack places where we enjoyed Paninis or Pizza. At some point, we discovered a Cafe called "Cioccolati Italiani", where the chocolate came directly from a faucet and tasted incredible.
