Mein 2.Geburtstag - My 2nd Birthday

Enrique's Eltern koennen gar nicht glauben, dass er heute schon seinen 2. Geburtstag feiert.

Enrique's parents can hardly believe that he is celebrating his 2nd birthday today.

Der Tag beginnt mit einem einzigen Geschenk auf dem geschmueckten Geburtstagstisch, allerdings findet Enrique die zur Dekoration verwendeten Luftballons viel interessanter.

The day starts with one single present which had been placed on the prepared birthday table. However, Enrique finds the ballons that have been used for decoration much more interesting.


Es vergehen ein paar Minuten bis er sich dem Auspacken des Geschenkes zuwendet. Er findet "James" aus der Kollektion "Thomas die Lokomotive" vor, denn ein neuer Zug fuer seine Sammlung stand auf der Wunschliste.

It takes a few more minutes until he devotes his attention to the actual gift. Inside the bag, he finds "James" from the collection of "Thomas the train". It was actually his wish to receive another train.

Sofort ist alles, selbst das Ausblasen der Kerzen, um ihn herum vergessen und er rennt in sein Zimmer, um das neue Stueck auszuprobieren. Dieser Zug ist sogar batteriebetrieben und faehrt demzufolge von selbst!

All of a sudden, Enrique forgets everything around him, even to blow out the candles. He runs in his room, in order to try out the new toy. This train can even run by itself with batteries.

Kurz danach ist es Zeit in den Kindergarten aufzubrechen, was Enrique an diesem Tag besonders schwer faellt, weil Enrique sein neues Geschenk nicht zuruecklassen moechte. Also muss Mutti ihn daran erinnern, dass er dort Enlly (seine Lehrerin) und Paola (seine beste Freundin) treffen wird. Ohne Klagen, sondern mit einem Laecheln auf dem Gesicht geht es los.

Shortly afterwards, it is time to go to the kindergarten, which is very difficult for Enrique that day, as he does not want to leave his new toy behind. Therefore, Mom has to remind him that Enlly (his teacher) and Paola (his sweatheart) are waiting there for him. Without complaining and with a huge smile on his face we leave.

Der Geburtstagskuchen, den Mutti gebacken hat, darf natuerlich nicht vergessen werden, denn Enrique moechte von seinen Freunden das Geburtstagslied hoeren und ...

Of course, the birthday cake that Mom baked, cannot be forgotten, as Enrique wants to hear his birthday song sang by his classmates and ...

... anschliessend die Kerzen ausblasen duerfen. An diesem Tag gibt es einen Apfelkuchen, da die eigentliche Torte erst zur Feier auf den Tisch kommt.

Nach dem Mittagsschlaf darf Enrique die anderen Geschenke oeffnen.

After his nap, Enrique is allowed to open the other presents.

Papa hat einen Autotransporter gekauft, von dem Enrique voellig begeistert ist.

Papa has purchased a truck, which Enrique loves.

Ausserdem erhaelt er noch ein Buch, welches ziemlich spannend zu sein scheint, sowie ...

Besides this, he receives a book, which seems to be very exciting, as well as ...
