... kraeftig an dem Theaterstueck "Der Lebkuchenmann" geuebt.
... have been practicing very hard for the theatre play "The Ginger Bread Man".
Waehrend die Kinder der Klassen 3 bis 8 die Hauptdarsteller waren, praesentierten die Kleineren klassenweise Lieder, die sich alle um das Thema Suessigkeiten drehten, denn diese braucht man, um einen Lebkuchenmann zu dekorieren. Die 1. und 2. Klasse sangen das Lied "I want candy" und tanzten den "Jail House Rock".
While the kids of the 3rd until the 8th grade played the main characters, the younger classes performed songs which all dealt with the topic "sweets", as they are necessary in order to decorate a Ginger Bread Man. First and second Grade sang "I want candy" and danced the Jail House Rock.

... im Ninja-Kostuem vor. Bis heute weiss keiner der Eltern, was das Ninja-Kostuem mit dem Auftritt und dem Lied vom Kruemmelmonster zu tun hatte. Und weil es ja in Costa Rica, gleich um die Ecke, einen Kostuemladen gibt, hat es uns besonders gefreut, die Kinder fuer volle 2min in den von den USA eingeflogenen Outfits zu sehen!!!
... wearing a Ninja costume. Until today, none of the parents has figured out what a Ninja costume had to do with the performance and the song from the cookie monster. And on top of this, we were really proud to see our kids for exactly 2 min in clothes that had to be shipped from the States, as an outfit like this could not be found in Costa Rica.
